Paris Hilton called out "unacceptable" and "cruel" comments she's received since sharing a recent photo of her 8-month-old son Phoenix Barron on Instagram.
Hilton, 42, posted a series of photos with her son on Thursday during his first trip to New York City, according to her Instagram caption.
Among the sweet comments were several making fun of the baby.
A TikTok user called out the bullying online, prompting Hilton to respond on Saturday. "There are some sick people in this world," she replied.
The TV personality and DJ added: "My angel is perfectly healthy. And yes, of course he has been to a doctor, he just has a large brain."
Hilton further slammed the negativity on her Instagram Story Monday. "Living life in the spotlight, comments are inevitable, but targeting my child, or anyone else’s for that matter, is unacceptable," she wrote.
"This hurts my heart more deeply than words can describe. I’ve worked hard to cultivate an environment that is all about love, respect, and acceptance, and I expect the same in return," the socialite continued.
Hilton added that she is often questioned about her parenting based on her social media. "If I don’t post my baby, people assume I’m not a great mother and if I do post him, there are some people who are cruel and hateful," she wrote. "I’m a proud working mom and my baby is perfectly healthy, adorable and angelic.
"I’ve dreamt of being a mom for as long as I can remember. Every day with him is a reminder of what truly matters," Hilton concluded. "It’s hard to fathom that there are people in the world who would target such innocence. I hope that people can treat one another with more kindness and empathy."
Hilton shares Phoenix with her husband, venture capitalist Carter Reum, 42. She opened up about her life as a mom in a statement to People in January.

"It's always been my dream to be a mother and I'm so happy that Carter and I found each other," she said. "We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy."
Hilton decided to keep her baby news under wraps at first, even from close relatives, because of the challenges of keeping a secret while living in the public eye.
"If you tell one person, then they tell someone, and then all of a sudden, it's in TMZ or Page Six," she said on her podcast, "I am Paris," in February. "So Carter and I literally made a pact together that we would not tell anyone."
