Even award shows are full of outtakes.
And the 2024 Emmy Awards were no exception. Between hosts Eugene Levy and Dan Levy and all the stars who came out to celebrate, TV's biggest night was chock-full of incredible moments after kicking off Sept. 15 at the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles. (See the full list of winners here.)
Eugene and Dan proved that their father and son chemistry wasn't just a fluke on their hit show Schitt's Creek—which won nine Emmys during its six season run—but is just part of their natural relationship as they cracked jokes about everything from nominated shows like The Bear, Shogun and The Crown to nominated stars like Jennifer Aniston, Jeremy Allen White and the dynamic duo of Steve Martin and Martin Short.
After all, the Only Murders in the Building stars are pulling double duty as nominees and presenters, alongside costar Selena Gomez, who certainly looked delighted to be a part of the comedy team's antics.
And it was a big night for The Bear once again, with the cast—including Jeremy, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Liza Colón-Zayas—showing off their strong bond both on and off the small screen.
Saturday Night Live star Bowen Yang is also sure to prove why he's picked up four nominations for his work on the iconic NBC sketch show—including one this year—as the funny man is capable of bringing the crowd nearly to tears while presenting, and certainly helping cause plenty of spontaneous moments throughout the ceremony.
And the crowd at the Emmys knows when to celebrate television royalty, as they'll be welcoming legend Dick Van Dyke, who won four Primetime Emmys during his storied career—and recently became the oldest Daytime Emmy Award winner at 98—to the stage to present.
