Almost half a century after the end of the Vietnam War, a veteran of that conflict was saluted by dozens of service members at Milwaukee airport.
The October “Flight of Champions” carried 220 of Wisconsin’s oldest veterans, supported by the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Milwaukee Brewers. Among those to receive a guard of honor was 83-year-old Jeanetta Parker-Perry from Milwaukee, who served in the Army from 1974-1983.
